On Mission – October 2015

Feed My Starving Children

This coming January, the Lord has given CFBC a huge opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of thousands of children worldwide! Each day, over 6,000 children around the world die from starvation and starvation-related diseases.  While this number is daunting, the Lord is using organizations like Feed My Starving Children to provide hope.

Every year, Feed My Starving Children packs and sends millions of meals across the globe, and places them in the hands of missionaries who are working among starving populations, bringing much-needed nutrition to thousands of communities.

Feed My Starving Children relies heavily on local churches to help them pack these meals, and on January 23, 2016, CFBC will be joining FMSC to pack over 100,000 meals to be sent overseas!  We will be meeting that morning at 8am and serving in shifts throughout the morning in the Multi-purpose Building.  Obviously, we will need all the help we can get!  If you and your family are interested in being some of the 500 volunteers that we will need, give us a call in the Missions Office.  Be on the lookout in the Worship Folder and in the Latest to hear more information and reminders!

CFBC Orphan Care Ministry

“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” James 1:27.

Champion Forest Baptist Church has answered the call to look after the orphans in our community, state, nation, and beyond. In September, we launched the CFBC Orphan Care and Adoption Ministry, focused on providing awareness, as well as assistance and support to families, regardless of where they are in the journey of fostering or adopting.

The Orphan Care ministry meets once a month to discuss issues faced by adopting and fostering families, equip them, and place them in contact with resources in our community. They also provide basic information to individuals who are not called to adopt, but who would like to know how to make a positive impact in the lives of orphans in our community.
