Round Rock Mission – 2015

Round Rock

As you read this, the 2015 Round Rock Mission Team is wrapping up a great weekend of ministry!  For the past 3 years, CFBC has partnered in mission with Crosswalk Community Church – a church plant in Round Rock, TX, that seeks to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to a highly unchurched area of the state.

Since its founding 3 years ago, Crosswalk has grown from just a handful of worshippers on its first Sunday to over 300 people this last Resurrection Sunday!

CFBC teams have played a vital role each spring by helping to reach new neighborhoods and families through canvassing, block parties, sports camps, and evangelism.

This weekend, our team of 14 was able to host 2 block parties to reach 2 new neighborhoods in the area where Crosswalk is about to break land for a permanent building! Continue to pray for the relationships that we helped to forge this weekend, and for the people of Crosswalk as they continue to push forward with the gospel!  For more information on next year’s trip, Crosswalk church, or how you can pray specifically, contact the Missions Office.

Hope For Kenya

Nearly 14 years ago, the Lord called a couple in Kenya to sell everything they have and relocate to an area outside of Nairobi called Spring Valley. In Spring Valley, He showed them a people group who had been tragically displaced by their government, and a community full of children who were being ravaged by starvation, human trafficking, and terrorist recruiting.  Through nothing short of miracles, the Lord enabled Stanley and Alice to begin Spring Valley Baptist Church and School, and by His grace they have been able to daily feed, clothe and educate 300 children who would have otherwise had nothing.

CFBC began its partnership with Spring Valley Baptist 6 years ago, and has had the privilege of sending teams to work with the children, teach them about Jesus, and help them build a school dormitory so that they can all have a safe place to sleep at night. Each CFBC team returns having seen the true hope that the gospel can bring to even the most hopeless situations.

Making a Difference in Germany

This June, a group of 22 from CFBC will return to Minden, Germany for a week of sports ministry! For the last several years, we have built a partnership with First Baptist Church, Minden, and every summer, we spend a week there hosting baseball camps to teach basic skills, build relationships, and share the gospel with children from thecommunity.  Since we have been going, the attendance at the baseball camps has grown from 50-150 children, and nearly 20 have come to know Christ!. As a result of this outreach, pastor Jorge of FBC Minden has a consistent weekly group of 30 children that he is able to disciple and teach about Jesus.

Keep our team in your prayers as they prepare for a great ministry opportunity this summer, and be sure to pray for the hearts of the German people they will encounter there!  If you would like more information on how you can pray for this trip, please call us in the Missions Office!
